TelVue Corporation, the innovation leader in Television and Internet Broadcasting for communities, cable operators, and media companies today announced support for Secure Reliable Transport technology as developed by Haivision and the SRT Alliance.
TelVue is a proud member of the SRT Alliance and is planning to bring SRT technology to many of its video products. SRT is an open source video transport protocol that enables the delivery of high-quality and secure, low-latency video across the public Internet. SRT optimizes streaming performance across unpredictable networks with secure streams and easy firewall traversal, bringing the best quality live video over the worst networks.
TelVue and Haivision have recently completed compatibility testing between Haivision’s professional quality H.264 video encoders and the TelVue family of HyperCaster digital video broadcast servers. TelVue HyperCasters powered with SRT can be interconnected to Haivision and other SRT-compliant video encoders and decoders using just the public Internet. With SRT, users can expect excellent video quality even when the Internet is experiencing congestion and packet loss.
“TelVue is a proud member of the SRT Alliance. We greatly appreciate Haivision’s support during compatibility testing and SRT integration with TelVue products“, said Paul Andrews, SVP, Sales and Marketing. “And we’re looking forward to deploying our first SRT-compliant products in the fourth quarter of this year.”
