With MTSU’s unique location — directly in the path of the great solar eclipse — plus a wealth of scientific knowledge and commentary readily available, Great Tennessee Eclipse LIVE is a free, unique programming opportunity for your station.
MTSU is planning to enhance the eclipse viewing with:
- Experts, Videos and Slides provided by the MTSU Astronomy Dept.
- Live feed from NASA
- Live feed from MTSU’s observatory telescope
TelVue clients will be able to re-broadcast the MTSU live eclipse programming by mapping this RTMP url directly into your HyperCaster: rtmp://cp45648.live.edgefcs.net/live/T02275@84856
You can then notify your local media and local science programs to tune in.
The MTSU: Great Tennessee Eclipse LIVE program will air from 12:30 PM CDT (11:30 AM EDT) on Monday, August 21, 2017.
The program will include three 10-minute segments:
- Segment 1 – Ron Henderson (Eclipse Geometry)
- Segment 2 – Chuck Higgins (Eclipse Path & Safety)
- Segment 3 – John Wallin (Info on what you’ll see)
