System

Navigate to the System page by selecting the System menu option. System includes time settings and actions to restart, reboot, and power down the TelVue TeleCast 2 encoder.

System – NTP Section

Click the delete icon to delete an existing NTP server. Click the add icon to add an NTP server.

Enter the domain name or IP address of the Network Time Protocol server for the TelVue TeleCast 2 server to synchronize time. If no NTP servers are specified, the TelVue TeleCast 2 server’s clock will be free running and may drift. Multiple NTP servers can be configured. NTP allows the clock displayed in the User Interface to be accurate. Click Save to add the NTP server.

System – Time Zone Section

Click the edit icon to edit the Time Zone.

Choose the timezone for the User Interface clock display. Click Save to save your changes.

System – Reboot/Restart Section

Clicking Restart to restarts the encoder engine temporarily interrupting all streams for a few seconds.

Clicking Reboot to reboots the TelVue TeleCast 2 server interrupting all streams until the server boots back up and streams are re-started.

Clicking Shutdown powers down the TelVue TeleCast 2 server interrupting all streams until the server is physically powered back on and streams are re-started.
