In order to upload content to the HyperCaster, you’ll want to map the HyperCaster’s media share (vol1) to a computer, or multiple computers, on your network. This is done using the CIFS/SMB protocol.
OS X
- Open Finder and go to Go > Connect to Server…
- Type in smb://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/vol1, where xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the IP address of the HyperCaster.
- Choose to connect as a Registered User.
- Enter psguser in the Name and Password fields.
- Optional: Check the Remember this password in my keychain checkbox.
- Click Connect.
Windows 10
- Open File Explorer and select This PC.
- Click the Map Network Drive button in the ribbon menu at the top, then select Map network drive.
- Select the drive letter you want to use for the network folder.
- In the Folder box, enter \\xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx\vol1, where xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the IP address of the HyperCaster.
- Optional: Check Reconnect at sign-in.
- Check Connect using different credentials.
- Click Finish.
- When prompted, enter psguser for the username and password. Check the Remember my credentials checkbox and click OK.
Windows 7
- Clicking the Start button and then click on Computer.
- Click Map Network Drive.
- In the Drive list, click any available drive letter.
- In the Folder box, enter \\xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx\vol1, where xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the IP address of the HyperCaster.
- Optional: Check Reconnect at sign-in.
- Check Connect using different credentials.
- Click Finish.
- When prompted, enter psguser for the username and password. Check the Remember my credentials checkbox and click OK.
