The Image Playout license for HyperCaster AIO models enables importing and playing images, and configuring a background audio source to be used when images and program guide slides air. Images, program guide slides, and videos can then be mixed in a continuity playlist to automatically fill program gaps on a channel as integrated Community Bulletin Board (CBB). Supported image formats include PNG, JPG, BMP, GIF, and TIFF. Supported audio sources include streaming radio and audio (icecast, http), audio from an available SDI port, and analog audio via a compatible USB audio card. Background audio plays during images and program guide slides, and videos play with their own audio.

Configuring and Managing Integrated Community Bulletin Board
Configure Audio Feeds for Background Audio
If you will be using background audio for your integrated CBB, set up your audio feeds.

Create a Program Guide
If you want to incorporate a Program Guide into your CBB, create one or more channel program guides.

Create a Playlist for CBB
Import any videos and images you want to use in your CBB playlist. You can import images the same way you import videos. If you have a large number of images, you can drag or select them all to upload at the same time. Note that all images will be converted to a consistent PNG format on import. You will see a task on the Tasks tab

Then create a playlist, adding any images, videos, and slides (program guides), and ordering as desired.

Configure Channel for Image Playout, Background Audio, and Continuity CBB Playlist
For the each channel that will run integrated CBB, configure the channel for Image Playout including selecting the background audio source. You’ll need an Image Playout license for each channel you want to run integrated CBB.

Then also set continuity for the channel to the desired playlist you created for CBB.
Manage and Update CBB Content
Your setup is complete and your CBB playlist will now be running on the channel to automatically fill program gaps. You can simply edit the playlist as needed to add, edit, or remove playlist items such as new images and videos, or reorder the playlists.
Automate Graphic Overlays Displayed During CBB
Additionally you may want certain graphic overlays to display while your CBB runs. You can use the Overlay Rules feature for this, creating rules that only trigger during continuity and use conditions for specific channels, or even specific times of the day. For example, you may want to run a squeezeback news or weather ticker when your integrated CBB is filling gaps, or display channel logos and other branding elements.
