TelVue is pleased to announce the release of TelVue Connect™ & CloudCast™ 3.4 including the following key new features and options for live event streaming and paywall monetization:
- Enhanced Paywall Package management for additional flexibility and simpler workflows.
- Additional flexibility and support for Token Authentication to protect paywalled live streams & VOD.
- New Cloud Recording (DVR) option (licensable) for CloudCast Live Streams with Live-to-VOD for recording live streaming events.
- New nDVR option (licensable) for CloudCast Live Streams that allows pausing and rewinding within live streams and events.
Paywall package management is now even easier with the ability to add video collections (playlists, series, categories) as well as individual videos and live streams into one or more Paywall packages. Players with Paywall enabled that have videos or streams in any package, will show all of the available ways to purchase. To ensure your paywalled content is protected from viewing outside of the paywall, Token Authentication is supported for both Live & VOD.
Paywall Premium Content and Flexible Package Management
Paywall support for Live includes both 24×7 Live Channels, as well as Live Events. To support Live Event workflows that require on-demand access right after the event concludes, TelVue Connect now supports a Cloud Recording option with Live-to-VOD. With Cloud Recording, live streams will automatically create recordings on detection of the start and stop of the incoming stream from the encoder. TelVue Connect presents the available recordings for quick review and 1-click addition to your video library with or without paywall. For both 24×7 Live Streams and Live Events, CloudCast supports an nDVR option that allows pausing and rewinding, and jumping back to live.
